Why Sabbath

All of us at BANNED would not be providing a good service, or being a friend if we did not share with you all we know.

I personally recommend you read the book of John, as soon as possible.

BANNED is your friend, but God loves you more than you can imagine. Imagine a loving Father with only one wish - that we know more about Him and love Him.

Abraham Lincoln, speaks of the  greater conflict of good and evil affecting our lives. Don’t you want to be on the side of good?

Matthew 5:6-16 New King James Version (NKJV)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Count in Bible truth, and your belief that the Bible is the word of God. These facts you will find in any Bible, nothing else. (So trust the Bible, or do as others say and do. Pray for understanding when you open the Bible, and it will be given to you).

“The commandments were nailed to the cross “, the common cliche the Vatican loves to hear, and rejoices to see millions keeping the Sunday holy.

Why does it matter? It is all part of the plan of redemption. Is keeping the Sabbath a guarantee of salvation? Of course not, it is simple obedience to his precepts.

As a Christian it mean to be all in means to be all in. In the road of certification, it mean to aim to be Christ-like. To be like Jesus as He followed God's laws.

In Genesis at creation, God rested on the seventh day. Does God get tired? Of course not. This gesture was a statement, an example for man. Sabbath was made for man.

This is it not an attempt to defend those who are right or accuse those who are misinformed. There are sincere Jesus seeking brothers in all faiths.

...but you can be very  “sincerely” in entering the freeway in the wrong direction and cause major disaster for yourself and othersOne can be very sincere in his faith, but also be very sincerely wrong.

These are biblical facts.

Jesus said ”If you love Me, keep my commandments”

Also, Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

As created beings, we bow down to The Creator of the universe, as there is no one else greater. He sanctified the Sabbath in creation, before Moses, before  it all.

In other words, to keep the Sabbath holy is to keep the day of rest set by God for men at creation - Not Sunday, the false sabbath set by men.

If you seek truth, and already noticed nowhere in the bible it calls us to keep the Sunday holy. Instead you only find "remember the Seventh day Sabbath", it is time for truth. ie: don’t believe what preachers tell you. Do not believe the popular opinion, but Bible truth only. I encourage you to verify all bible truth for yourself. Take some time, seek a New King James Bible. If you do not have one, write uw, well send you one FREE.

God loves you and want you to lean all about Him.

God Is Love, we are saved only by His grace; Also, man demonstrates his obedience by keeping God’s law, Jesus points it out throughout the Bible.

So many brands of religion today,  many dividing us, most avoiding what’s beautiful and simple:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

To remember the seventh day Sabbath is not to enforce, follow a law, or commandment, but to worship a time. A time we stop all our daily tasks, routine and rest and worship. To reset, reflect and celebrate upon His creation.

No,  “God’s law has NOT been done away with”(sadly, evangelicals love this man made interpretation, and full Vatican endorsement in the  "catechism" book). indeed, these are men’s tradition but certainly not biblical. Jesus did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill them.  Matthew 5:17-20

It is valid to point out,  no where in the Bible you will find  any mention of a change from Sabbath to Sunday as day of worship. (or Jesus asking us to keep the Sunday holy).

Of course we should not keep the 10 commandments expecting to be saved like some sort of checklist.  To keep His commandments will not save you. It’s is not a checklist you win scores. We keep the law because we are saved. The law is a path to good conduct.

But to think to follow the law will earn salvation is to think we earn salvation by our own merits - and such approach denies Christ. Man is not capable to earn his/her own salvation by works. The law simply shows the loving character of Christ.

Salvation can only be achieved Thru Him, by His grace.

We follow God’s precepts because we want to be more like Jesus.

Can society, or man’s laws be done away with? How out of control would society be? Much more God’s moral code, the decathlon. Can we do without It?

So in essence is all inclusive, all ten commandments. There is no “the 9 commandments” tablet, is there?

Only the scriptures, w/o changes or subtractions.

God rested on the seventh day of creation.  No, God does not get tired. The Sabbath was made for man. Jesus kept the Sabbath holy ( and so did the disciples after his death, all the early church, jews, christian jews, greeks, hellenists, circumcised or not).

There is a common mainstream evangelical fallacy about the fulfillment of the law:

The book of Moses (the laws and rituals,Yunk-Pur ,etc), prophet Isaias all point to Jesus in the future. Jesus comes and fulfills the Moses laws.

Therefore rituals and laws written by Moses in his book, are abolished on the cross, but not the 10 commandments ( the tablets handed down to Moses). It is valid to point out such tablets were written by God and handed to Moses, and Moses book of laws were written by Moses himself, under God’s instruction).

As you know, this reaches a critical point when select early Christian Jew, even disciples  have a hard time accepting gentiles who do not follow the laws of Moses , but as you know. ( see sincere Roman Centurian, the dream Peter has with the unclean foods, and understands he has to preach Jesus gospel to all - Jews and gentiles).

God’s laws do not change, why  do some follow man’s laws? ( Dies Domini, Pope John II, claiming Sunday is the new Sabbath)

1st century Vatican changes/replaces the  Saturday Sabbath to Sunday, choosing tradition over God’s written instruction.

The 2ND Vatican council, once again, the enforces replacing Sabbath as the Easter Sunday. According to Pope John Paul II,” it is Easter very Sunday”.

Ask yourself logically, should I obey the laws, traditions of man, or the laws of God?

Is is not a blasphemy to worship man made idols instead of the true living God? Likewise, it not the same to worship a man made Sabbath, the “Vatican Sabbath”, now Sunday?

Is it ok to add or subtract words from the Bible?

While Jesus and the deciples continuously point to the law of Moses, and Old Testament prophets throughout  the New Testament. The Vatican pushes the  “reset button” to determine a new day of worship based on Jesus resurrection. A clear detachment from the Old Testament, and creation.

( in essence in this long an tedious speech Pope John Paul II, enforces the change from Sabbath keeping to Sunday keeping - and rejoices most Protestant faiths follow it).

Why, then, do so many Christians keep Sunday when there is no biblical justification for it?

Blblical context:

God’s law, the Ten Commandments, is still binding (see also James 2:10-12) , and that law includes the seventh-day Sabbath. God’s law is ethernal.  Why, then, do so many Christians keep Sunday when there is no biblical justification for it?

Daniel 7 talks about the rise of four great empires: Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, and then Rome, the fourth and final earthly empire. In a latter stage of the Roman Empire, a little horn power is depicted as coming up out this empire (Dan. 7:8) . It is still part of the Roman Empire, just a later phase of it. What else could this power be but the papacy, which arose directly out of Rome and, to this day, is still part of it? Wrote Thomas Hobbes in the 1600s: “If a man consider the original of this great ecclesiastical dominion, he will easily perceive, that the Papacy, is no other than the ghost of the deceased Roman empire, sitting crowned upon the grave thereof”. — Thomas Hobbes, Leviathan, (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1996), p. 463.

Read Daniel 7:23-25. What do these verses teach that can help us understand the origins of Sunday keeping?

The original language, Aramaic, shows in verse 25 that the little horn power “intended” to change the law. What earthly power can, indeed, actually change God’s law?

Though exact details are blurred in history, we do know that under papal Rome the seventh-day Sabbath was replaced by the tradition of Sunday keeping, a tradition so firmly entrenched that the Protestant Reformation kept that tradition alive, even into the twenty-first century. Today most Protestants still keep the first day of the week, rather than following the biblical command for the seventh day.

Read Revelation 13:1-17 and compare with Daniel 7:1-8, 21, 24, 25. What similar imagery is being used in these texts that help us understand last-day events?

Using imagery directly from Daniel, which included imagery about the latter (papal) phase of Rome, the book of Revelation points to end-time persecution that will be unleashed on those who refuse to “worship” according to the dictates of the powers seen in the book of Revelatio
